Quietly Before God - Psalm 62:5

King David writes of his whole self waiting quietly before God. Can we wait quietly before God while the world rushes around us or is this only a dream today?

A Son is Given - Isaiah 9:6

26 times we are told in Psalm 138 that God loves endures forever. His love for us for us will never fail and we saw that in Him sending is only Son to die for us on the cross. No matter what we have done, His love endures forever!

1 Chronicles records King David's powerful song of thanksgiving, where he calls us to praise with gratitude. King David instructed the Levites to declare God's greatness, showing us the devotional nature of true worship and proclaim all He has done!

Set Free! - Romans 6:7

St Paul wrote that when we declare Jesus as Lord, we died with Him and were set free from the power of sin. This doesn't mean that we won't sin anymore but that the power of sin has been broken in our lives through what He did on the cross.

Crowded Out - Luke 8:14

When Jesus explains the Parable of the Sower to His disciples, He tells them the seeds that fall among the thorns are people who hear the good news but it is all too quickly crowded out by the cares, riches and pleasures of this life. BEWARE!

Don't Lie! - Proverbs 25:18

King Solomon said that telling lies is as harming as hitting a person with an axe, wounding them with a sword or shooting them with an arrow. As Christians, we must never lie about anyone because we know the consequences!
